Terms & Conditions
Failure to comply with all Terms & Conditions may result in exclusion from the exhibition.
- The
"Exhibition" refers to the "Surrey Artists Network 2nd
Anniversary Exhibtion".
- The
"Venue" for the exhibition is Otters Pool Studio, 15 College Road,
Guildford, Surrey. GU1 4QG.
- Any
artist submitting work to the Exhibtion must be a member of the Surrey
Artists Network at the time of submission.
- All
artwork for submission must be received by the Venue on the Receiving Days
specified in the Exhibition Diary. Any artist wishing to submit work
outside of these receiving days should make arrangements with the Venue
directly.
- All
artwork must be accompanied by a completed Entry Schedule and label.
- Selection
of artwork for inclusion will be made by a panel of selectors. The
selectors decision is final and interference with this process will be
seen as a breach of these Terms & Conditions.
- Each
qualifying artist may submit only one primary piece of artwork in either
2D (e.g. on paper, board, canvas etc.) or 3D (e.g. sculpture etc.)
- Any
primary 2D artwork submitted must not exceed an overall size of 100cm x
100cm including frame, must be labelled and must be ready to hang (fitted
with hangings/cord). Other than this, the artist may present work as
desired, but it should be noted that appropriate presentation will be
considered during the selection process.
- Any
primary 3D artwork submitted must not exceed 150cm in height, or 50cm x
50cm across its base. If a plinth is required to present the
artwork, this should be submitted as part of the artwork and included in
the overall dimensions.
- In
addition to one primary piece of artwork, each artist may submit three
pieces of mounted but unframed 2D artwork for display in one of four
browsers. All submitted work for browsers must be labelled with the
title, artists name and price.
- A
non-refundable entry fee of £5 per artist will be charged on
submission to cover exhibition expenses and will apply whether artwork is
selected or rejected.
- All
submitted artwork must be for sale, must be labelled and accompanied by a
completed schedule.
- All
unselected artwork must be collected from the Venue on the Unselected
Collection Days specified in the Exhibition Diary. Any artist
wishing to collect work outside of these collection days should make
arrangements with the Venue directly.
- Entry
to the Private View will be by invitation only. Invitations will be
sent to all accepted artists and, depending on demand, maybe extended to
include rejected artists.
- A
commission of 40% inc. VAT will be levied on any sales. Any sales
initiated during the Exhibtion must be completed before the end of the
Exhibition. Any such sales negotiated or completed with the artist
outside of the exhibition will be considered as a breach of these Terms
& Conditions.
- Proceeds
of any sales will be made by direct bank transfer to the artists nominated
bank account. Payments will not be made by cheque or cash.
- All
unsold artwork must be collected from the Venue on the Unsold Collection
Days specified in the Exhibition Diary. Any artist wishing to
collect work outside of these collection days should make arrangements
with the Venue directly.
- Any
breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in the withdrawal of all
work submitted by the artist.
